ABOUT THE ROLE
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in executing M&A and Equity Capital Markets transactions in the Technology vertical and a strong desire to want to be part of a team executing those transactions for high-growth technology and technology services companies in the public and private markets. The Leonis investment banking team covers a variety of industries including Vertical Software, FinTech/Payments, Healthcare IT, Security IT, Media, Marketing Technology, Insurtech, and Tech-Enabled Services.
As a Vice President, the role requires an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, experience with financial statements and financial modeling and strong communication skills. It will require overseeing and mentoring Associates and Analysts.
Responsibilities
The new hire will have significant responsibility in supporting senior bankers with business development, relationship maintenance and transaction execution. Key tasks include:
- Develop new business in coordination with senior team.
- Oversee processing and participation in engagements of among mergers and acquisitions and private placements (growth capital raises).
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of work for Associates and Analysts.
- Recruit, educate, and train Investment Banking Associates and Analysts.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of investment banking or relevant experience or an MBA plus 3-4 years of investment banking or relative experience
- Strong experience conducting investment banking transactions in the technology sector
- Excellent analytical and modeling skills
- High energy with strong interpersonal, accounting and finance skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
- Commitment to working hard
- Extraordinary focus on work quality and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly, with a particular focus on accounting rules and financial valuation methodologies
